CRC Clubmans Competition Hi All, Just a brief note to remind everyone that the first event for the Clubmans (PETTS) will be April 6. The bad news (its my wedding anniversary!!!!) is that its our event so most of us will be marshalling rather than riding, but remember , the rules allow you to marshal and ride. The 2010 spreadsheet is prepared and waiting for results so you might say its the only time it will be error free ; the rules are logged with Steve but for the 30 or so new members we have this year I will give you a quick run down.
The competition is based on ALL the PETTS events of which there are 20 (I think) and is designed to reward enthusiasm, commitment and lastly ability  Riders must ride in 10 events AND marshal at least twice. To be in contention for the Clubmans Marshal jersey you must marshal on at least 4 occasions AND ride at least once but not more than twice. Trophies are awarded for the following categories - overall, vets overall, 40+,50+,60+,70+,juniors and ladies (I think thats the lot). I normally send out the weekly,updated spreadsheet to the CRC and individual members but I dont have the addresses for the 30 or so new members - if you want it, let me have your email address.
I wish I was there to join you all at the first event but my wife seems to think the anniversary has priority and I didnt even try to get a passout for the pre-season Curry Night on the 30th.
