The Clubmans is all about 'enthusiasm, commitment , ability' and for the last couple of events in particular weve seen all those characteristics in play. Jostling for honours last week, and fighting to get the events in this week. Mick had hardly stepped off the plane when he took the start and Geoff rode all the way from Kirkland Bridge with a puncture while suddenly Duncan has appeared on the scene, all in the chase to get in their ten rides. They all got their rewards, with Mick coming second at 99 points and Geoff taking over the favourites spot in the over 50s category with Duncan just missing a sub 24. But dont just look at the Clubmans ; remember we are also competing for trophies in the PETTS series. Not forgetting too the Marshals Award - Dave Balshaw after last nights ride is also a candidate. Four events left and they all count, even the team time trial on the 17th. If you havent already got a partner get in touch with me and I will try and pair people up. Did you know that 40% of Tuesdays riders were CRC? Even more surprising is that its in the region of that percentage every week. Mick
