PETTS 20.7.2010 Wet, chilly night with lots of lying water and a wind that seemed to be against almost all the way round. Some good times though with a hard-earned PB for Olly. We think Mick had a slow puncture (it's the best excuse he could think of on the spur of the moment anyway). Fastest on the night was Robbie with 21.41. For Cleveleys, Dave Turner 22.16 (98), Malcolm Bell 23.42 (91), Mick Black 23.55 (89), Duncan Smith 24.26 (86), Richard Stott 24.49 (84), Oliver Marshall 25.35 PB (83), Adam Wilson 25.46 (81), Bill Smith 27.40 (78), Claire Goss 28.48 (76). 24.7.2010 VC Cumbria L2511 dejavu from last week, arrived for the afternoon event and it all clouded over and started drizzling quite heavy on and off but it was mild and the event road stayed dry, same south wind again possibly gusting harder across Embleton Bank. Won by Paul Fleming (Preston Whlrs) 55.01, 2nd Carlo Berton (Border City) 55.24 and 3rd Stephen Jagger (Border City) 55.43. Six riders made the trip for CRC with myself leading the team whilst our others were busy setting fast times at another event, seasons best for me 6th place 56.23, Mick Black 58.25 and a personal best and first time under for Paul Jackson 59.33, personal best too for Geoff Parkinson 1.00.50, Simon Lester still on the comeback trail and doing well after his injury 1.1.37 and Dave Balshaw 1.8.19. Pick of these rides Jacko.
25.7.2010 Club Record Derby Mercury 25 Derek Parkinson and Dave Turner made an away trip which proved highly successful, harder out and very fast back with some rain as well, Derek achieving his main goal and the first CRC rider ever to go under 50mins taking 4th place with 49.50 and Dave Turner smashing his best with 52.54. Event won by Andy Basson (Team Pedal Revolution) 49.07, 2nd David Watson (Coventry RC) 49.29, 3rd Richard O'Rourke (Flitch Crono) 49.47.
