Welcome Imogen Price 2nd claim junior member She is a strong runner (finishes top 5 in County in 800;1500 and cross country); and also swims 4 sessions a week, and is in the A squad of Blackpool Aquatics club. She did some triathlons last year and really enjoyed the cycling. She is a 1st claim member of Red Rose in Preston, and completed the Cyclo Cross season 2009-10 which she enjoyed. She has also attended a couple of sessions at the Velodrome along with Alex (member of CRC also). She has also done a couple of road races but it’s clear she would benefit immensely by getting some experience of longer rides and is therefore keen to join a club that she can do some road cycling with.
PETTS CRC has now been one of the registered PETTS clubs for several years, we are one of the four clubs that runs the PETTS Tuesday League, for this our riders are included in the League for which there are Awards at the end of the series, anyone can ride these evening 10's but only the registered club riders can qualify for the league, only a maximum of four clubs are allowed to form a series, Regulation 3 CTT Rules. CRC is the biggest supporting club of the events, if we didn't step in a few years ago it may not have continued at that time. Mick Smith and Dave Balshaw are our Organisers, Dave being back up for Mick, they both also attend PETTS meetings, usually just one or two of these, PETTS is also a good source of income for the club. Mick Smith will be stepping down after this season and thefore we will need a new main Organiser otherwise we will have to make way for a new fourth club to take over should there be one. If we aren't able to find somebody member can still ride the evening 10's on tuesdays but you will be subject to the PETTS Rules of first 30 riders from PETTS clubs and of course you won't qualify for the league.
